Medieval & Renaissance Galleries Artefact Support Balcony

Project scope : detailed design + manufacture + installation

V&A Museum commissioned the design, manufacture and installation of a heavy duty artefact support balcony + balustrade with an external shelf providing artefact support to all three external sides.

The design included glass panels and a “Pietra Serena” stone capping rail and the combined weight of the stone capping and the stone artefact panels was such that a heavy duty design was required involving 25mm thick steel plate construction.
